Quick Guide: Sourcing Natural Seawater
1. Collection Protocol
To capture high-quality marine plasma, prioritise areas with high energetic exchange:

Location: Select open-sea coastlines with active currents. Avoid stagnant zones, ports, or areas near industrial/urban runoff.

Method: Submerge the container 0.5 to 1 meter below the surface. This avoids surface-level oils and atmospheric particulates while capturing the mineral-rich subsurface layer.

Depth: If collecting offshore via boat, sourcing water beyond the continental shelf provides the most stable mineral profile.
2. Temperature & Pathogen Management
The thermal environment of the water dictates its microbial profile.

Cold/Temperate Waters: Generally stable for use after debris filtration.

Warm/Tropical Waters: Higher presence of native tropical microorganisms.

Purification: To neutralise potential pathogens while leaving the bioactive organic-mineral compounds intact, add 1 ml of CDS (Chlorine Dioxide Solution) per litre of seawater.
3. Filtration for Clarity
Filtration is used to remove inorganic debris without stripping the water of its biological value.

Method: Pass the water through a fine cloth, coffee filter, or a 5–10 micron mesh.

Objective: This removes sand and silt while allowing the microscopic, "pre-digested" organic-mineral complexes—essential to the Quinton method—to remain in the sample.
4. Container Selection
Seawater is a reactive, living medium. Use inert materials to prevent the migration of chemicals or metallic ions:

Optimal: Borosilicate or tempered glass.

High-Grade Metal: 316 Stainless Steel (Marine grade).

Stable Plastics: HDPE (Code 2) or PP (Code 5).

Avoid: Aluminum, copper, or PET (Code 1) plastics, which may leach under the osmotic pressure of salt.
5. Light & Storage Dynamics
In the ocean, sunlight is a source of energy. In a closed container, light must be managed to maintain the sample's integrity.

The "Bloom" Effect: Exposure to light can trigger a rapid algal bloom. In a closed bottle, this bloom eventually "crashes" once nutrients are exhausted, leading to organic decay.

Short-term Use: If the seawater is used within a few days, natural light maintains the vitality of the microorganisms.

Long-term Stability: For extended storage, keep in a cool, dark place. This places the "living" components into a state of dormancy, preventing decomposition and preserving the delicate organic-mineral bonds from photo-oxidation.
